Hi,

I just wanted to know if I can get one contract and if the companies let you share the allowance?

Orange in particular will do this and maybe the others. But unless you can find a discounted deal for the second phone it will not be worth it as the second has a line rental with no free minutes.

If you normally look around for cashback deals, it will be best to have 2 of these separately, though I have occasionally seen cashback for the second one added.

You can on business tariffs but not sure about normal residential type tariffs.

Below are examples taken from the Link magazine (for business customers):-

    o2 network

Monthly line rental for first handset is £35 and any additional handset is £13.99 and this gives you 250 minutes (I assume it is shared) and 50 texts.

    Voda network

Monthly line rental for first handset is £64 and any additional handset is £17.62 and this gives you 500 minutes (it is shared) with no texts but you get first 20minutes of every call between handsets is free.

I don't think the above costs include the cost of any handsets so as mentioned by Andy, it may be cheaper to get two contracts especially if they include cashback as you know they'll most likely include free top of the range handsets.

!!!!!!.com list the best deals and they include cashback.

The BT mobile contract allows you to share the allowance.

On Orange I think the 2nd phone rental is £10 to £14 or so. I did see a cashback offer somewhere about a year ago and can't remember where; it would be likely to have changed by now, and as I figured out at the time 2 cashbacked phones on 2 120 minute contracts was better than shared contract with 200 minutes.
