Crown paint - discontinued colour ?

The wall isn't going to be the same colour it was in 2009, so even painting the same colour on is going to be a slightly new colour.

I wouldn't stress, just find a similar colour.

There are about 3000 shades of cream/beige! I've just painted our hall and pretty much picked anything because I couldn't be bothered to deliberate over slight differences.

It's a different colour by name to the one in the living room, and while they'd be slightly different if you put them next to each other they look the same colour by eye when you walk though.

All of those colours are in the current range too.

I was going to bite the bullet and buy a few of the tester pots to bring home and try and match, but when I got there I found out my local Homebase isn't even carrying the Indulgence range. :mad:

I picked up a few similar Dulux colour strips instead. Think will need to go for a near match instead.

Had a brainwave the other day and decided to look through my big bag of old tester pots to see if I ever bought one before we decided on the final colour and hey presto there it was!

So it was Crown and it was a black can, but from a range called Fashion for Walls that is no longer available. However, now I have the colour name and found I can have a Crown colour mix service make it up for me.

Just thought I'd report back on a happy ending.
