My son wants a mobile for Christmas and i am not wanting to spend more than £100 on it. It has to be PAYG and preferably brand new, not reconditioned/secondhand. Also it needs to be able to have 3G/4G enabled.
Is it possible to get a phone for this amount?

Tesco Mobile has some pretty good PAYG deals on Alcatel. For example the slower than slow Pixi 4 4" for £30 or move up to the Pixi 4 6" for £85. I name those phones and Tesco Mobile because I'm acquainted with them through my grandson. Or how about the LG KB for £99 or back to Alcatel with the Pop 4 for £79.0 -

Without going down the route of getting fairly decent phones at good prices by buying phones from places like ebuyer or gearbest, but then having less options if you have any problems with your phone, those Moto E/G phones are good value for money.0 -
Thanks everyone for the ideas!
Bally and Mac, i was looking at the Moto, and it has good reviews. What is the camera like?0 -
camera is 8MP and is adequate.
Obviously if you spend more and get a Moto G4 £149 its much better with a 13Mp camera0 -
Not sure what size you need but i would make sure it has 2Gb of RAM and at least 16Gb of memory.

I have a Moto E 2nd generation (now superseded by 3rd gen) and the photos are good - even at 3.7 mega pixels. Unless you want prints 2 feet by 3 feet or need to enlarge a tiny portion of the image then I find this resolution is fine for general use and does not take up so much memory.0
