    Hi all,

Just thought I'd give you an update on my appeal. I sent the appeal letter I posted on this thread - sorry coupon mad, I had sent it before I read your last comment as I just wanted it sent. I had an email from POPLA today saying Parking Eye don't wish to contest my appeal and that I was successful and have nothing to pay!

Relieved. Just shows they are chancers as PE turned down my initial appeal. Thanks for all your comments. :)

    Well done.

Exactly as I (and other regulars) forecast every time with PE.

Please don't hijack someone else's thread - You clearly agreed not to!

More likely your credit rating is trashed rather than bailiffs turning up - not a PE strategy as far as I'm aware.

Get in touch with PE and check their receipt (or not) of your online payment. Do you have confirmation that the payment was made from your bank account?

This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors.

Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, and another company have already been named and shamed, as has Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each year). They lose most of them, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P. for unprofessional conduct

Hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned.

The problem has become so rampant that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. Watch the video of the Second Reading in the HofC recently.

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind they will be out of business by Christmas.
