Parking Eye Fine

Hi all,
I received a parking charge notice in the post today from Parking Eye regarding a private car park in Newquay a few weeks back. The fine is for 100 but reduced to 60 for 14 days. I've read about them being cowboys and that all correspondence should be ignored, but is this the best course of action? I did buy a ticket and don't believe I overstayed, but I binned the ticket a few days after so have no proof.
The 'fine' letter states: 'By either not purchasing the appropriate parking time or by remaining at the car park for longer then permitted' then the fine is now payable. So they're not clear as to what breach of contract I've done. The have a picture of me arriving and leaving the car park, but no photo of my windscreen proving I overstayed my ticket time.
Any help or advice much appreciated!
Thanks

It is not a fine.
The advice to ignore has only been given by people who don't know what they are talking about since the law changed 4 years ago.
Please read the Sticky thread for NEWBIES then send the BPA appeal template letter in blue that you will find there. Copy and paste and send. Do not edit it. Do not miss the appeal deadline. On no account reveal who was driving.
You then need to read up on how to beat this at PoPLA (second stage appeal.)
All the information you need is in the NEWBIES.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

Thanks for the reply. I appealed through their website using the template letter, so we'll see what happens next!0

Tower Road (also known as the Bunker Caff) or the church next door?0

I think that's the one - only went there once whilst on holiday last month. It's the one by Fistral beach.0

How many days after the parking "event" did you receive your Notice to Keeper?0
-
It happened on Oct 29th and I received the letter yesterday 3/11.0

Unfortunately that's in the correct time frame then.0

OK, that's within the 14 day timescales for an ANPR ticket, but there will be loads of other appeal points at PoPLA.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

Is it this one?

The black building on the left is the Bunker Cafe. The church car park is to the right.
Read this example but the NTK's were late in that case so you would have to ignore that bit:

Tower Road is notorious for the Pay & Display machines (a) not registering the complete VRN No. and (b) accepting all of the coins input but not registering all of them and not returning any unregistered coins.0 -
Yep, that was the one Dolly Dee! That thread was really interesting thanks - gives me a template reply for a letter to the PoPLA should I need to.0
