  • I believe that it's half term holidays in some areas, although ours were last week.

Okay, I'm the first to admit my life as not been as successful as some, but I have had fun and circumstances have never fell into place.
I have four kids, 3 different mothers but I take care of all.
All I want is a house to big enough for my current girlfriend(long term over 2 years), and my children, plus 2 lovely kids of Kylies.
The council, I won't say which, only offer a four bed, but I need at least a 5, if not a 6 for comfort, and quality of life.
I have had various jobs, even one lasting over 18 months, in which I contributed to the rent, with only a small subsidy from the council, but this seem to mean nothing in their eyes.
Surely I deserve better than what they last offered me, a desultory detached corner house with only 4 bedrooms on a loud and noisy main road into the city?
I just feel so let down, and don't know where to turn.

You are definitely being victimised. You and Kylie will also have a couple of children and you'll have those as well when she goes off with DAve from Facebook. She'll also dump her 2 by 2 different fathers on you. The council will know this so you need to hold off for at least 15 bedrooms as your children will make you a grandad any day soon and then leave all their children with you. Don't bother going to work there's no point - you can make a fortune with Jezzer Kyle et al..

You are not in a position to pay for a 6 bedroom house yourself, so your children will have to share rooms.

What is wrong with that? Unfortunately in your own words you have not been successful enough to provide your children with their own room.

You are not being 'victimised' I'm sure many people would love a four bedroom house from the council.

I'm giving this post the benefit of the doubt as genuine, despite it sounding like a wind up.

Given the OP has had this account since 2008 and was last posting about US visa applications, they are either the oldest schoolboy in history, or you are correct and they are just an idiot....

If the latter, I am gobsmacked that someone who think 18 months is a lengthy stint of employment, and two years is a committed long term relationship, thinks that they also get "comfort and quality of life".

you can calculate how many bedrooms you will qualify for here
    https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/benefits/housing-benefit-restrictions-for-social-housing-tenants/housing-benefit-bedroom-calculator-for-social-housing-tenants/
a child does not qualify for their own room until they are 16. (Over 10's can share with same sex sibling, under 10's with different sex)

Perhaps if you had put as much effort into maintaining a job as you have in maintaining the birth rate, you would have earned enough to comfortably house your family yourself instead of expecting the council and the state to do the job for you
  • And I hate to break it to you but somebody has to...... Kylie is seeing somebody else on the side.... good looking guy too.

Oh well at least you made me smile on a dull, grey Friday morning.
