Just went through my purse to clear it out, and this week I have been passed 2 x 1 euro coins and a 1/2 penny!
So annoying. I thought I had more, but it is only 25p in the pot this morning.
Sue-UU ? Just wanted to say thank you.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Morning everyone,
£3 sent to the pot today.
I originally had one pot only but have decided to put coppers, silvers and golds in a separate pot each as I think it'll make it easier when counting up at the end of the challenge.VSPC 2019 #10 - £168.80/£100 VSPC 2020 #4 - £262.03/£200 VSPC 2021 #9 - £242.88/£200 VSPC 2022 #3 - £188.03/£200 VSPC 2023 #7 - £0/£2000 -

SueUU - so sorry to hear of yours and your daughters' health problems
Thank you for taking the time to run this years challenge, it's really appreciated.Been reading the fun youve all been having on SPC9, and i'm inspired!
I like the idea of a pot I can squirrel money away into and feel getting heavier or filling up
how about some tips for the newbie?
do people have a set amount they add or do they just add spare change in or a mixture of both?
Do people put notes in or do you like to collect a specific coin (eg £2)?
How do you all keep your motivation going?
I have a milk bottle (laaarge glass bottle with black patches on like a cow) that has shrapnel in it, I was thinking though i'll put this into my pot as a starter, is that allowed?

Sue, firstly thank you for your kind words on the previous thread. You kept me inspired to keep saving and that's the first time I've ever had money put by for Christmas. Secondly, I am so sorry to hear this will be your final year, but family must come first. You will be missed!
I'm going to increase my goal to £500 for 2017 (but I know you can't alter the amount in the savers list). My first pot of the year is £10. Quick question - DS2 owes me £85 which he will give me in mid December - am I allowed to add this to my pot?
Good luck everyone - happy potting!!
Bless you for your really touching words, Happybeingme, and if I really did inspire you to have a Christmas that is paid for it makes so very, very happy! Never stop saving as you know now that...you CAN do it!!!! BTW...... yes, you can most certainly pot what your DS owes you!
A very good morning, Potters!
A very huge thank you from the bottom of my heart my very dear SPC family friends! Your truly touching comments touched my heart so much that I've not been able to do a thing for tears, truthfully. Thank you also for your wishes for mine and my DD's health, so very kind and thoughtful, bless you all. Most of it for my darling girl is that she and her DH have 5 children and things can be extremely difficult at times, but thank goodness they live close at hand! A heartfely thank you to every one of you, my SPC family, each one of you means so much!
Back to the SPC thread: A very dear SPC friend here has put a suggestion to me which I now need to give a good deal of thought to, and whether I take her up on it of not I definitely would wish to carry on saving here with you all, that is without doubt!Have a wonderful weekend, folks. Pot all you can.Sue xx2nd November is the opening date for 2017.

Hellooooooooooooo Pottersssssssssssssss
Ahh Sue, I shall miss you dearly as our big SPC boss, but am glad you still want to stay with us as a saver as it just wouldn't be the same without you on the thread. I always think about your DD and hope that she will find something that works for her, as always very gentle hugs are sent her way
I did make the offer to Sue a while ago that I would happily take over the spreadsheet for peoples SPC declarations and that still stands for anyone who wishes to take over the thread but doesn't want to do it alone xx
On potting news, I STILL have not bought a pot, I am unsure why it has become such a difficult task to get myself the 5 minutes to town and buy one but for some reason my body it just say no  I shall sort myself out though!SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £0/£10000 -
