Just back from a Cruise which required a flight from Stanstead to Genoa with Ryan Air. Booked hotel at airport the night before and arrived 3 hours before the flight. My friend is in a wheelchair and all verified on the booking and ticket and her wheelchair duly labelled at checkin...on getting to the gate, 45 mins before take off, we were told to wait to one side till all passengers had boarded...I then approached again to check that we hadn't been forgotten - no still had to wait. When everyone on board, they then phoned for the assistance and was told there was not enough time - so with a shrug of the shoulders, the gate was closed and we missed the fight. Huge problems to get 4 luggage cases back and together with the wheelchair, and return back to customer service. Next flight was 24 hours later which would have missed the cruise, so we had to take a flight to Pisa, some 4 hours later and then 2 hour taxi journey to get back to Genoa late that evening. On the return flight - again my friend had to wait on the plane for the Stanstead assistance while everyone got off....she got forgotten and they started to board new passengers for the next flight!! After phoning through, again no assistance and against H & S, she had to be bumped down the stairs in her wheelchair. Big drama, appalling treatment - are we entitles to compensation?

Should be on Ryanair thread but Google Vauban's Guide and read first prior to any further posts ~ thank you.0

That's terrible! You certainly have a claim for delay and for damages (non-performance, extra expenses, distress and disability discrimination) for the outbound flight as well as damages (disability discrimination and possibly injury) on the inbound flight. You're probably talking thousands if you want to play hard.0
