I have nothing to do with plusnet but see a lot of negative so thought I would share a good experience for a change.
So signed up on the 19/10/2016 and was due to be switched over on Thursday the 3rd but was surprised to be switched over today and everything working as it should, was with talk talk and was supposed to be getting up 80meg but only got between 30-40meg but line could take more, getting the same speed with plusnet for cheaper and don't mind the speed it's enough for what I do.
So thank you plusnet for the excellent experience so far

Hi I know a few people who are with Plusnet and everything is fine for them as well, one friend switched recently and no problems.
I have no doubt if no issues occur Plusnet offer a brilliant service.
However, the measure of a company is, not that issues or errors occur, but how they respond and deal with those issues. You know how good a company really is when you hit problems. Going into day 9 with out broadband I think they are utter rubbish. Read my separate thread for details.
Glad you have had a good experience

I would suggest trying to call their customer services and see if you are OK with the hold time. They used to offer excellent UK based call centers 24 hours a day. I thought that was pretty fantastic and though I experienced ongoing connection problems due to phone lines being degraded where I live (Openreach don't seem bothered- either that or they just like visiting me) but they stopped the 24 hour support, cut it to end at 10:30pm. After this when I did try to call I was waiting up to an hour to speak to someone when my BB went down. And that's assuming they don't accidentally hang up or put you though to a dead number.
If you don't have any issues, then I'm sure you're fine. But I don't see why they boast a UK call center, and then have people sit waiting on hold for ages. It really lets them down and was my reason for leaving them.0 -
I too recently changed to plusnet from BT. A few minor problems were dealt with efficiently after using both the landline helpdesk & online chat. Yes there were delays but honestly, after dealing with BT for the past ten years and their completely helpless customer services it was a breath of fresh air. While reading all of the reviews after finally deciding to move providers I dont believe there is any service out there that will offer much better, but plenty that offer worse.
Hope the OP manages to get it sorted soon.0
