The change in the way you're eating could be making a difference to your energy levels - if your body is used to a certain level of sugars in its system and you've puled the plug on that totally then your blood sugar will have plummetted and that causes energy loss. If it IS that then it will stabilise over a few days - just make sure you're eating lots of low GI (slow release) foods and whole grains. I do agree though that you need to get checked out if it doesn't improve within those few days.

Fingers crossed the equipment you've found is suitable!

  • Thank you both! It's lovely to hear from you Maddiemay, I hope you had a lovely holiday! I hope your kitchen is nearing completion now, Essex!

I was feeling tired long before I changed my diet and stopped the sugar. I have more energy today and the pain isn't too strong, I don't feel quite so dragged down by gravity either, I hope it's just a passing thing. I am eating low GI at the moment, though I did slip up and have some white rice last night. I haven't had any sugar cravings and am wondering how long it will be before they kick in. I've given it up in the past and seem to remember them being very strong for about a week after I stopped consuming it.

I had forgotten about vit C and Iron so probably the tablets I've been taking haven't been doing any good. I have some multivitamins with both iron and vit c, I'll take them until I can get some plain vit c tabs or something, or look for some tablets that have them combined.
  • I'm feeling a bit burned out today, it's more mental than anything. Going to take a break today and do as little as possible. :p
  • Not surprised you feel a bit burned out, in this heat.

Take it easy and relax xx

    Hey Misty,

Just catching up with your diary. Sorry to hear your feeling tired and a bit burnt out. I've been told the weather back home is hot, so take it easy.

It's warm here and to be honest I'm exhausted with everything going on as well as the heat!

  • Thank you purple and chandelier!

I finished both jobs, picked up the new equip (which is not quite as nice cosmetically as my old one was but it is very solid and will do the job well for decades :j ) Now that I have what I need I can really get stuck in. I'm a bit exhausted though so may take a couple days off of work or looking for work and just do some of the basics - the house needs a good tidy and there is a mountain of laundry piling up. I've realised that I'm not doing any superhuman amounts of work - it's probably even a bit less than a normal person! I am getting so worn out from the bit that I am doing, it's made me extra aware at how important it is for me to improve my health - I've got a fair few years left before I can even think of retiring so really need to make sure I am healthy enough to bring in an income.

My ebay item is up to £42 and has two hours left, I have three mystery shops scheduled for next week which will bring in about £30, and I have £25 from surveys on the way. Money's coming in from all directions at the moment! Long may it last. :T

I'm very glad that it's cooled down a bit, but the sunshine is so lovely!
  • whohooo! The item sold for £75 :j :j :j
  • I'e just been pottering around the house getting little bits done here and there. It feels almost like a holiday, quite relaxing. I've just updated my filofax and punched some holes in a plastic envelope for my side biz receipts. I feel very organised now that there are no bits of paper falling out when I pick it up!

Next I am going to update my budget spreadsheet and then tackle the mail basket. I find paperwork very therapeutic :p

Great eBaying there! Never a bad thing to have money flowing in from all sorts of avenues either - even in small amounts it all adds up, and helps.

Sometimes a few days of being able to potter about and get the small stuff under control can make a real difference, I find.
