Hi Misty,
Well done on the payout, that's great.
Really good to see you are positive again, small steps remember xx0 -
Thank you both!
Today I am going out to do some errands this morning as it is supposed to rain this afternoon, I'll walk into town and count it as my daily walk. This afternoon I'll get back into the housework and possibly if I get enough done, spend an hour reading a book before starting on dinner.
I am feeling much more positive, being able to get back outside and get my heart rate up a little bit has done wonders.
I have decided to sell some things that have been sitting around for a long time - they should bring in the money I need for the new equipment for the side business. Sorry I'm not coming right out and saying what all these things are, I'm not trying to be mysterious but some of the things are quite specialised, and I would rather stay as anonymous as I can.
Anyway this is a large collection of items that was my main hobby for decades but it all was put away when I became ill. I've been planning to get back into it and selling it never crossed my mind until late last night. It was weighing up what was important and thinking about my friend who lost everything in the fire. If I can replace the equip I've already sold, I can put my efforts into the side business and build it up until it's a full time job. The hobby things can be replaced at some point in the future, if I still feel I want to get back into it. Being able to have a full time job that I love and has the potential to be fairly lucrative takes priority.
I feel a bit remiss as the hobby bits should have been the things I sold instead of the business equipment but it honestly never crossed my mind. The hobby bits need some work to clean them up and make sure everything is working as it should, but I expect to be able to sell them within the next few weeks, by the end of April at the latest. I know this is the right decision, and it feels great to know I will be able to move forward in a positive direction.0 -
Great news about the payout and the hobby items for sale, sometimes the obvious does not stare us in the face, but hopefully you are now on the road to being able to replace the work items.:D
Pleased that your energy is coming back too, mine was awakening, but I got hit with a stinker of a cold which has knocked me for six, but coming out of it now and the sun is shining. OH tells me it is very cold, but will wrap up well later and do some errands even if the rain has come, like you I have "the right clothes" so don't mind it as long as my feet are dry:eek: thank goodness for Goretex trainers:D:D
Enjoy your day:DThe best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
Yay - SO glad to see your mojo has found its way back to you! Good work also on coming up with a solution to your dilemma!
I had a sneaking feeling that if you were able to get back into a routine of walking again it would in itself perk you up just from the fresh air and daylight perspective! :T🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Thank you Maddie and EssexH! I'm glad you're on the mend Maddiemay, I've been wondering how you've been.
The sunshine and fresh air has helped enormously, I've also taken to heart that I can't do everything at once and there will be days when I need to pace myself and not feel guilty if it's a slow day where I need to rest.
Knowing that I will be back in business in a month or so has cheered me up no end, it felt like such a step in the wrong direction when I sold my equipment. :T0 -
Today is going to be a fairly relaxed. I have some admin type things to catch up with this morning, then a bit of laundry before my walk. I'm still feeling very positive but am a bit achy and slow, possibly because it's turned cold again.
This afternoon I'll do some mending at the kitchen table and then make dinner, I'm not going to push myself to get anything else done today. I'm so glad there is no work tonight, I'm looking forward to a quiet night in.0 -
Sounds like a great day my sweet.
Enjoy.

Nice day planned there then! :T
Hope the weather is allowing you to get out for a walk too - I was about to go for my lunchtime one but it's come over as black as yer hat outside so I'm none so sure now! :rotfl:🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Hi Misty,
Sounds like a very productive day lovely.
Hope you manage to get out for a walk too. x0 -
Thanks, it was nice to have an easy day! Today isn't going to be particularly hard either - I'm walking into town to do a few errands and will count that as my daily walk. I'll do a bit more laundry, have a quick tidy up, finish a bit more mending and that's going to be it.
There are a lot of bugs going around so I must remember to wash my hands often and gargle with salt water every morning and evening. I'm sure my immune system isn't still up to par and I am determined to stay healthy!0
