I've switched to tea now and have put the paperwork away to finish tomorrow. I got a fair lot done though and am pleased with the progress.
Hopefully I won't have too much trouble sleeping, generally I'm ok as long as I don't have any caffeine after 5:00pm. I don't normally drink that much coffee but it did keep me awake and focused on the work. I went out for a quick walk after lunch and was able to get back to my faster pace, I suppose this may have been the coffee too but I just felt good in general, no aches or pains and quite energetic. It seems a long time since I've been able to say that! I'm sure the warmer weather is helping, too.0 -
That's excellent then Misty - and yes I totally agree about the warmer/brighter weather making a difference. Lighter evenings too - and not long now until we change the clocks so even MORE useable daylight! :T

I slept well, thankfully! I'll try not to drink more than 2-3 cups of coffee today. 5 was a bit much.
This morning I am going to do more paperwork, then start work on sorting out the mess in the house in the afternoon. It's gone back to being a bomb site and will take a few days or more to get back to how it was before Christmas. I have a healthy dinner planned with all ingredients already in the fridge so aside from a mid day walk, I won't be leaving the house.
I decided it was time to bit the bullet and weigh myself. I have gained 10lbs which is so disappointing, I've been eating fairly healthily, though not really paying much attention while I was sick. The lack of exercise must have played a big part, some days I barely moved off the sofa. It feels good to have finally faced up to it, and now I can concentrate on doing something about it.0 -
I've got paperwork and coffee planned for this morning, then a quick walk and an hour tidying up the house when I'm back.
I need to spend some time this afternoon on a project I committed to before I had to sell my equip, mainly trying to find someone who will let me borrow or cheaply rent me theirs. I still haven't been able to come up with a plan to replace it and without the extra money coming in from new jobs, everything we earn is going on basic bills, etc, in fact I'm not even bringing in enough to cover those at the moment. I'm going to have to have another root around and see what else I can sell on evilbay...
I have no plan for dinner yet, so best get that sorted this morning!
Even though things are tight again at the moment, being able to get up and move around with some energy and very little pain is wonderful and has put me in a more optimistic frame of mind. I'm going to have to be much more careful about not doing too much, I'd like to avoid another setback like the last one if it's at all possible!0 -
I have a few errands to do today so will walk into town and count that as my daily walk. Aside from that I'm mainly doing housework, boring but I can finally see a teeny difference in the mess after yesterdays tidying up.
I'm working tonight, I'm going to ask if there are any extra hours going. I still haven't found a solution to my lack of equipment, I called a rental place who would charge me more to rent what I need then the job would bring in. The only things I have of real value to sell are more bits of equipment that I need for the jobs, so there is no point selling them unless I decide to jack in the whole project. I don't want to though, it's something I enjoy and I was just starting to bring in some money from it, it could eventually turn into a full time job which would be amazing.0 -
Hi Misty,
Hope you enjoy your walk, it's always nicer in the sunshine
No advise over the quandry, I'm sorry but if you can get a permanent position out of it, I can understand your reluctance to sell the items xx0 -
Yes I definitely want to keep what I do have, I really enjoy the work which I cannot say about my present job and it pays much better too. I just need to find a way to bring in around £500 to replace what I sold ASAP.
I worked extra hours last night because someone went home ill, aside from sickness there are no more hours available. I'm shattered today, the house is a bombsite but I am too tired to do anything about it. I'm going to sit in my chair, drink tea, watch telly and maybe have a little nap.0 -
I'll be mainly concentrating on the house this week, I plan to clean/sort/declutter until at least 1:00 each day, go for my walk and in the afternoons list things on ebay, complete surveys, etc. Whatever I can find to bring in some money. I've still not got a plan to replace the things I need but I know there is an answer out there somewhere. I did put a cheeky wanted post on freecycle but as the items are quite specialised, it's unlikely many people would have them and even more unlikely that they would give them away.
Dinner is sorted so will be a NSD, aside from my walk I'm not planning on leaving the house.0 -
I cashed out £30 from Panelbase! I'm putting it straight into my savings account to start the fund to replace the equipment.
I've done everything that was planned so far, including a walk in the pouring rain. It was lovely - no one else was about so very peaceful. I was wrapped up well so didn't get soaked. All that's left to do now is a bit more laundry and to make dinner. I'm feeling good today0 -
Well done on your cash out.
