Ok btw BA launched flights from London to Zakynthos and Pula yesterday, the starting prices might be good, also look at their flight+hotel deals.
September is perfect in Europe, it's well worth a thorough search.
Costa Smeralda and Elounda are also worth a look.

Yes, I saw that BA will start flights to Zakinthos, I will take a look and having done one or two BA holidays, their deals are sometimes well worth looking at, thanks for the suggestion.

We have a decent amount of time to plan so I'll get down to some serious research.

We celebrate our 30th anniversary next August, and have just booked mitsus blue domes resort and spa, in kos, flying from Manchester with jet 2 holidays.
Cost us 2006 for 11 nights all inclusive, and hotel has good reviews on trip advisor.

Have a look at Thomsons adult only range of holidays, called Sensimar. Many are AI. We've had some lovely holidays with them at good prices. Kolocep Island in Croatia was great-we got the ferry across to Dubrovinik for a visit. Grand Nastro Azzuro near Sorrento also good. Haven't been to the one in Elounda, Greece but heard good things about it from others.

Nice suggestion but perhaps a little too long a trip for 7-9 days but if we had longer I'd certainly look at it.

    I fully understand :)

For a trip like that you really need to want to do it and then nothing else matters, you just make it work.
