And sorry to hear about all those who are potless - in any sense! :rotfl:

Hi there pretty late here but any local reuse charity might take them, also your local town in bloom, local allotment societies and even charity shops/old peoples homes/schools might just love a donation of them. Our reuse yard takes them, and get £1 for ten for them. Lots of options - failing that something on freegle/facebay/freecycle might find you a home. Here as well, local garden centres or small growers often need pots and have storage for them.
Just a thought or two.

Evening all
EH - and lovely it was with almost no plans and nothing to do - as you say an odd situation here.
Nice to have a quiet one.
Formal notice accepted by board and now I'm no count down to a hand over from p't job.
Beach walk after a tea of reduced pork belly wraps which were nicer than they sounded. Wraps made for lunch tomorrow.
Boss is back tomorrow and on Thurs I'm taking some TOIL as DD is 21 and I'm heading to the smoke to do *something* with her. So excited and a little in awe that the youngest is 21 OMG.
Tomorrow - packed lunches and brekkie, walking a bit of the coastal path with a chum.
Too hot to take mutts to work so long walk tonight on beach when a bit cooler. Lovely.
Grateful things for me today
Ability to watch faces in awe when harvesting potatoes for the first time. Amazing passing on skills and lots of lovely tatties dug up - student took some home for tea - tasty connections being made.
Small selfie exchange with DH this am touching base in a modern way. Hey look I'm muddy, hey look you're doing hard sums.
Watching birds soaring above crops swishing and swooping under the evening light.
awesome.
No spends, home made veg with reduced tea - all good.
Have a good one.

OMG 21 already! And the scary thing is, how little they both were when I first bumped into you on here! Big congratulations to you both on such a milestone!
Spent the weekends with OH's parents, visited their new-ish allotment (retirement project); know just what you mean about awed faces and potato harvest : )0 -
Hey there great stuff on new allotments and awed faces Trog and yes 21. Oh my.
Greying having had so many random and thoughtful acts of kindness I think its only fair to celebrate with this in return!
EH yes 21 and a bus pass is what she wanted for her birthday. [its good value you see and I'll use it lots for the dissertation year} so taht's what we've gotten her. Lol And selfie exchanges - makes me giggle but free and good relationship fodder.
Day went rather spiffingly with a voucher for lunch and then a blast around the posh charity shops in Morningside - and my were they posh 9.50 for a t shirt skirt - no thank you but I did snag a weekend away bag and a swimming cozzie - dd a new frock which was lovely. Delivered the obligitory birthday pasta box which she's had at birthdays and xmas since she was 3 - much delight from her and her flat mate.
Also took birthday flowers from the garden and a huge bunch of beauties they were inulas, shiatsa daisies and lots of lovely bright beautiful colours and some HM jam for the birthday cake so that got rid of oodles of rasps
Reduced fish tea in the evening and a slob - I drive to the city infrequently that driving in the heart of it is quite epic and tiring.
Today is a garden day will take mutts as theres no vols and a longer lunch for walking.
Have a chicken salad to scoff and plenty harvesting to be done.
Weekend plans are slow again - there's a bbq at work and various chores to do otherwise, nothing major. Some MSE stuff like find fitbit and sort a few admin jobs.

:hello: love having you back on here

Also love DD's birthday bus pass - good girl :money: :rotfl:
Weekend... our entire city has a music festival this weekend, which i shall be mostly avoiding
but Mr Cheery is playing, and some friends, so we'll catch a bit of it (and next door has thoughtfully warned us they're having friends to stay for the festival so I'm on the lookout for an excuse to be elsewhere!)
Also got friends comibg Saturday afternoon who have suggested a picnic in the local botanical gardens :j
And on Sunday night we are turning spies and going to stay in a B&B just up the road from the higgledy piggledy 200 year old cottage we've put an offer in on
:j :j
So a busy weekend of hanging about - which I am very much looking forward to
oh, and i need to make a pile of jam with the gooseberries from the garden :j 0 -

I believe Pippi's daughter has a mild obsession with pasta, and each birthday they fill a box full of bags of different types of pasta, which keeps her going til Christmas
