They are ridiculously cheap. A good source of protein. Adore them on proper hand sliced bread toasted with butter( or none if being healthier) . Europeans think this dish is weird-but its scrumptious.i drain the juice, a bean is a bean..but comfort food at its best.0

Lidl may well be selling at that price in order to attract customers into their stores in the hope that once in there they will buy more than just the beans.
Many stores do this with various "Loss leader" products and in the past, baked beans were commonly used for this purpose.

I hate beans with a passion, the texture makes me heave, but I couldn't have a fry up without bean juice.
When I dish up, I put some juice on my plate first, next to my sausages, dish up everyone else's beans, then if there's any more juice left I have that too.
Spaghetti hoop juice just isn't the same either.
So it's pretty safe to get into a lift with you.0 -
Next time you open a can, count each bean (twice for accuracy) after carefully sieving them, then measure the juice. Do this over the course of the year and record your findings in a variety of graph and chart modes.

Heinz are the worst for everything. Beans - break up easily. Tomato soup - hardly any tomato, salad cream and tomato ketchup - too acidic.
People that say I cannot have anything other than Heinz, lack tastebuds. Sainsburys cream of tomato soup and ketchup are better tasting, contain more tomato and are cheaper than Heinz.
I'm a Branston beans girl too. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Made a complaint to Heinz about that just to put the wind up them, they replied with a rapid blast accusing me of trying to cause a stink but I assured them I was just trying to squeeze out a small burst of apology.:cool:0

Heinz Raviloi was the most vile thing I have ever, ever tasted.
I find Lidl tomato soup better but Heinz chicken is much nicer0 -

You might want to check your facts there.
Heinz cream of tomato soup contains 89% tomato.
Sainsbury's cream of tomato soup contains 73% tomato.
The majority product in Heinz ketchup is tomatoes followed by vinegar.
The majority product in Sainsbury's ketchup is water followed by tomato puree.0 -

Do all of the people who only drink tea because they don't like coffee also "lack tastebuds"
How about people who only like dry white wine and who can't stand sweet red wine. Do they also "lack tastebuds"?
There are umpteen varieties of tomato soup, ketchup, salad cream etc for the simple reason that that there are umpteen people with different personal tastes when it comes to food.
Like opinions, these personal tastes are neither right nor wrong, simply a personal preference.0
