Best and Worst Mobile Banking?

Hello,
I'm fed up with rubbish banking systems. Which UK bank has the best mobile banking and why?
Here's some that i've tried so far:
Nationwide :heart2::heart2::heart2::heart2::heart2: Gold Standard for me
Positives
Negatives
Co-Operative Bank :heart2::heart2: Could be a lot better
Positives
Negatives
Secure code - a misnomer if ever there was. Firstly it's restricted to numbers only, and a max length of 6 digits so that's quite a poor password to protect an online banking facility. It's also only one of several "secure codes" you'll have with co-operative, and they're all different.
You need a 4 digit one for phone banking and anything on the "old system", you need a 6 digit one for online banking and a different 6 digit for mobile banking. You'll occasionally need your 4 digit bank card pin number when using the supplied card reader.
To top it all off there are other passwords and secure phrases to remember. This has to be the least user friendly security system on the high street. People will simply either a) forget or b) write stuff down.

Positives
- Great speedy app on both iPhone and Android
- iPhone version can use TouchID, my android doesn't have a finger print reader so i'm not sure if this is supported on android?
- It's easy to check your balance, there's even a "Quick Balance" feature on both platforms so you don't have to fully login
- You can manage direct debits and standing orders from the app without going to online banking
- The search transactions feature works even better than full fat online banking. You'd expect the most useful interface to be desktop but search is definitely better on the mobile apps.
Negatives
- No pending transactions view
- Doesn't work with Apple Wallet or Android Pay
Co-Operative Bank :heart2::heart2: Could be a lot better
Positives
- The iPhone app works and doesn't crash, haven't tried Android
- It's easy enough to check your balance
- Works with Apple Wallet
Negatives
- No pending transactions view
- Can't do anything with scheduled payments, can't even view them
- Doesn't let you use Touch ID to login more easily
- Doesn't work with Android Pay
- Uses a "Secure Code" to login - which is anything but secure, see below

TSB :heart2::heart2::heart2: OK
NB: the apps on iPhone and Android are poor, but if you visit the online banking website and save the link to your home screen, it works exactly like an app but it has a bunch of extra features like pending transactions and managing scheduled payments like direct debits
Positives- App is stable and easy enough to use on both android and apple
- As above, ditch the apps and use the website app, it's much better
- It's easy to check your balance
- You can manage direct debits and standing orders from the online banking which behaves like an app
- The search transactions feature works
Negatives- No pending transactions view in the apps
- Doesn't work with Apple Wallet or Android Pay
- No touch id or android fingerprint reader support
- Apps are rotten compared to the online banking website which behaves exactly like an app... why do they have both?

Halifax :heart2::heart2::heart2::heart2: Good
Appears to be the exact same app as TSB but has been updated with Touch ID.
I only have the travel credit card with Halifax so i can't say anything about the banking features.0 -
M&S :heart2: Awful
Positives- None
Negatives- You can only view your balance
- You can't do anything else

Halifax's is much better than TSB's. There's so much basoc functionality missing from TSB's app compared to the LBG apps.DEBT FREE!

Nationwide do offer android pay on their current accounts, I'm. Not aware of an link between the android pay app and nationwide one, but not sure if any bank has this0 -
It's like asking which are the best and worst football teams: people will have different, and often completely opposed, answers.0

I have found Lloyds to be the really good since their upgrade. I don't know if it's because I use offshore but the mobile app is exactly the same as the online version.
You can see pending transactions
We have just moved our main banking to HSBC (remortgage and to qualify for the Advance account) and their mobile banking is just pants.
It's too cluttered with loads of features that are just not needed for a mobile app.
However, the big positive for me, is that any loans or mortgage are shown as accounts which they aren't at Lloyds.
We had a loan from Lloyds and it didn't appear on any so/dd lists and I kept forgetting that it was coming out, whereas with HSBC I can see the balance and see it getting smaller with every repayment.
This will be handy for the mortgage as I will be able to make direct payments to it to overpay.
I haven't tried any of the other banks but those two.
Both apps appear to be stable and speedy and both work with fingertip log in0 -
Having left Barclays the mobile app is the only thing I miss, but I do miss it hugely. Could do everything from within it and very easy to pick up and go. Although if I remember correctly setting it up was a huge pain.0

Whats Halifax app got that TSB hasn't got. And what basic function is it missing, I use the app on a daily basis and it seems to work just fine.0
