I managed to chip a tooth on a Opal Fruit once. Nothing wrong with the sweets, just terrible teeth. If you have bad enough teeth, it's possible to chip them on almost anything.
Can you really prove it's Tesco's fault?If it sticks, force it.

My husband broke a tooth on a crisp. He sent the bit of crisp back to Walkers. They apologised telling him tests had shown that their equipment had been blunt and it was a hard piece of potato.
They paid for his temporary filling and sent a form for his dentist to complete as to what the damage was and what work was required.
They regularly phoned to check on the progress and paid for all the treatment done.0
