You were asked on another thread. I can't be bother to look again to find which one. If you continue to flout the established forum etiquette then people will start to ignore or discount your posts, whether they have any value or not.
Actually you will save me a lot of time as if that is the way you want to speak to newcomers on here then I really can't be bothered with it.0 -

They did, and here's the post:

I'm simply telling you what will happen, you can choose to believe it or not but if you do decided to stay then I suggest you grow a thicker skin, as plenty of worse things are likely be said than anything I've posted.0 -

I was supposed to spot a random thread in a part of the forum that I had never visited before??
I have got a pretty thick skin mate but obviously you want to make sure you make newcomers as unwelcome as possible with your petty little comments.
Any thanks for stopping me from wasting any more of my time.0 -

Well, to be honest, you did visit it, and posted on that very thread.......
Oh, and given you were criticising another poster's posting style when you posted there (using your inimitable quoting style)....PersianCatLady wrote: »Hi i would just like a bit of advice please
I think that you would probably get more advice if people weren't put off of reading your long post that doesn't have any breaks or full stops in it.
I gave up reading it after a couple of lines, it was too hard on the eyes
Me too.
... I'm not surprised somebody picked you up on it....
But, hey, it's teatime. Cake or biscuits?0 -

A random thread in a part of the forum that you had never visited before, but yet still managed to "contribute" to?0 -
Back to OP's question, I agree with the suggestion to just put the items in a bag and hand back at the end of the tenancy as I too have seen things escalate over smaller issues than this. It really is the most simple and hassle free solution - and safest.
If you chuck them out, you have no proof of their true value/condition and could end up having to pay a lot more to replace at the end of the tenancy. My daughter was charged quite a lot to replace a 'missing' glass, plus £5 added on for the effort to go to a shop and get one!!!0 -

I have been doing so but it doesn't appear to work so I formatted like this instead.0 -
