My solution is to tell Halifax, when I'm on the phone to them about something else, that my travel is often unpredictable and I need the card open for use in all countries. Apparently this can be set up for twelve months at a time.
Thanks. I can't remember whether it was Halifax or Zero, but when I last phoned (a couple of years ago, I suppose) they weren't that flexible. Something like no more than 3 countries over the next 3 weeks. Pretty useless. My plan was UK - Thailand-Taiwan-Hong Kong-Taiwan-Vietnam-Germany-France. Also had a great struggle explaning that Taiwan was "not the same as" Thailand. The guy also wanted particular dates and some my dates were flexible.
Anyway, seems things are more sensible with Halifax now. That said, I still won't bother letting them know in advance. Happy to rely on my "backups". Since my last post, withdrew about £400 from an ATM in the Czech Republic, again no problem.0 -
Has anyone else found that when you add travel under your profile > going abroad > add a new destination it doesn't actually show up as a list so one cannot tell whether it has been logged or not?
Tried it several times and there's no list! Is it just me?
Santander Zero also doesn't show up as a list but Lloyds Bank "Your travel plans" does.

I don't like the way the on line system won't let you be in two countries in one day. It's quite easy to be in more than that, but the system says no.0

Last week, within 24 hours I was able to use the card in Thailand, Japan and France with no issue.0

The app still says
You haven't told us about any trips abroad yet.

But I've never had a problem withdrawing in two countries on the same day.
Same here, spending and withdrawing - I just dislike not being able to enter it into the website.0
