TOO LATE! signed up via mse energy club. Dumped British gas 3 years + ago because they were useless, but as they were going to be cheaper I thought I would give them another go... BIG BIG mistake. Was not informed about anything throughout the process, can't seem to set up an online account, seem to be passing emails backwards and forwards between customer service to try and get it resolved but I might as well be writing to SANTA Clause!!!. Don't do it-avoid them like the disease they are....0

My switch went fine, just got final bill from old supplier today, based on readings I gave to BG once. The magic spell? That would be "patience". As I had read that BG don't keep your account hidden until its fully set up, meaning at times it will be missing stuff until its finished, and the impatient can get too worried, I just left it and got on with life.0

Some of the comments are unhelpful.
I have switched to BG twice in the past with no problems. This time I switched to Sainsbury energy (run by BG) and have had no end of problems. To say that people are unfairly criticising because you have had a good experience in the past does not accurately reflect that many people have had a problem this time round.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
