Nike refund policy

JD refused to accept my ripped Nike shoes as they were bought more than a month ago!Instead they asked me to contact Nike directly which I of course I did.
Nike sent me the address for return which happens to be in Netherland. They say if shoes are found faulty(!) (mind you I paid £100 for these shoes and wore them for about 2 months), they will send me a credit to use on nike.com only for both postage and the cost of the pair.
How inconvenient and unfair! There is 2 year gurantee but they say if the pair is found guilty...Also why don't they give a refund by cheque or bank transfer or even a voucher to use in shop? Also why do I not get a seperate refund for my postage?
This is ridicolous!

You did not buy the shoes from Nike, so have no rights with them, your rights lie with JD0

I'm surprised Nike have entertained you since you didn't buy from them.0

If they are found to be inherently faulty then tell Nike to return them to you so you can get a refund from JD.
Ripped doesn't sound like an inherent fault however, more like you caught them on something, but Nike will know.0 -
First 6 months its up to the shop to prove they are not faulty, not up to you to do all the "running" around0

If Nike refuses to give me a refund which I think they will to be used on their website I will definitely write to JD CEO!
Still I am very annoyed that I cannot get my money back. £100 for a pair of torn shoes after a few month useage.
I am stuck with using the refund on nike.com including the postage. So unfair!!!0 -

In there you will find:Know who's responsible
When returning items, beware shops trying the oldest trick in the book: saying they're not responsible for the shoddy goods and you must call the manufacturer. This is total nonsense!
If a company fobs you off by saying “go to the maker instead”, it's wrong. It's the retailer's job to sort it.
It doesn't matter if it's an iPod from a high street shop or a designer frock from a department store. If something's broken, torn, ripped or faulty, the seller has a legal duty to put it right as your contract is with it.0 -
I had 2 pairs of Nike trainers that had issues.
They were both bought from NikeTown, who wouldn't stand by the products.
Since then, all my trainers came from Adidas and KSwiss, and Nike haven't got a penny from my family.0 -
