How lovely to see Queen. I thought they opened the Jubilee Party on Saturday brilliantly. No one can out perform Freddie Mercury though.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. I'm SOOOOO looking forward to it - even sorted out an old queen t-shirt last night to wear (and found a mystery - where on EARTH did I put my signed Freddie Mercury Tribute shirt, I wonder? It's certainly not where I thought it might be. Hmmm!)
Banks checked and all fine. I've topped my Oyster card up this morning so that will be coming off the joint account - it's a bigger top up than usual for me to account for travel tonight and on Saturday as well.
Need to try to sort out what I'm doing with my day tomorrow - I'd like to get to the gym, will ideally pop into town and pay some oddments of money in that have needed sorting for a while, and there will be various odd jobs around the house too. I'll check with Mum she doesn't need any help with anything as well I think, although I suspect we'll head over there on Sunday to continue with the clearing of the shed of doom!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Enjoy the gig, @EH. Hope you get to have a sing-a-long too. Last rock gig I went to was Marillion at the end of 2019......so glad it was before Covid arrived.

There will definitely be NO sorting out of anyone else’s sheds of doom occurring, I can promise you all that! Mum’s is more than enough! The gig last night was truly incredible. Acknowledgement upfront that this was very much NOT an MSE night out - the tickets were expensive, we went for beers and food first, and I’m very aware that we were incredibly fortunate to be able to do it, BUT it genuinely was worth every penny. All the hits, along with some less well known favourites too, including some lead singing from both Roger and Brian along the way - and just a giant massive singalong throughout really - I took some video on my phone and you can just hear the crowd singing along with everything - the atmosphere really was superb. I’ll pop a handful of photos at the bottom of my post. ☺️ Lovely burgers and a huge portion of fries (I was glad we’d gone for a shared portion not one each, there were so many!) at the taproom we met up in on the other side of the river - that worked incredibly well, took us both about 30 minutes to get there from our respective workplaces and nice easy journeys too. Only minor glitch was on the way home - got to our usual M11 on slip-road at the London end to find it closed with no warning or notice at all - fine, diversion to the slip road from the opposite direction of the North a circular Rd then - also closed. It was late, we were tired, and driving the slow route really hadn’t been in the game plan, but needs must!Today has been an absolute “please myself” day - we went for a walk this morning before MrEH started work, then I did a bit of pottering around the house before heading into town on the bike to pay some money in at the bank. Continued into my planned longer bike ride and added another 10 miles on a really nice (if a bit challenging at times as it started with some long drags up hills) route, annoyingly my watch saved the first bit into town while I was sorting out my errands, but it totalled 12.3 miles which is the furthest I’ve cycled in recent times so quite pleased with that. I’d been planning on the gym but frankly I just wasn’t feeling it so gave it a miss - I’ll get back to my routine next week, today though I was knackered from a late night, it was gorgeous weather and I just decided nope, not doing it! Really enjoyed the ride too - it was lovely round the lanes and ai’m definitely finding myself feeling more confident on the big bike now too.Money shuffle from the paying in has been completed - banks are all good and - hurrah - we will NOT be going near any supermarkets today so I shall be declaring my grocery challenge spend for May at £176.90 - quite pleased with that! We start again from this week’s shop!Right - time to sort something for tea tonight I think - I’ll be looking back for that dhal recipe I found earlier in the week. (And hoping it doesn’t take three hours to cook because I didn’t check that bit! 🤣)🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
