So pleased you’re having a nice break and posting gorgeous photos. Keep them coming! What a complete waste of time and money with the bins – very annoyingDebt consolidation – I am so I’m yet to prove whether or not this is worked for us. THIS TIME. What I can tell you is that we did consolidate in the past, long before my lightbulb moment, long before I really understood how it all worked. And yes, it was a complete disaster. Within a couple of years, we completely rebuilt up the debt. I need these diaries to keep me on the straight and narrow, it frightens me how easy it can be to slip back into old spending habits using the same old excuses. I need it to work this time.Debt Jan 2017 = £42kMay 2022 = £15k4

Thanks all - it really was a fantastic week but trying to get a data signal for much of it was impossible! That’s not unusual though!JGB1955 said:EssexHebridean said:We’ve reached Lundy - I’ve wasted no time climbing the stairs to my happy place! So - we’re home, and actually right back home too rather than in South Devon as we should be at this stage visiting MrEH’s parents. This is because yesterday morning I tested positive for Covid (the second of our group to do so) and was rapidly followed by another 4 with confirmed positives, and MrEH and one other with definite symptoms. We don’t know how it got there - probably a Tuesday day tripper though - but the 5 of us in our property almost certainly caught it from the first of the group to test positive. 3 more have had positives this morning too, so there’s likely to be a few more yet. It’s interesting - I tested on Friday afternoon as I’d forgotten in the morning (we had always intended to test on two consecutive days before seeing MrEH’s folks) and that was absolutely clear - not even a hint of a line. 15 hours later - good strong positive line almost immediately. 🤷🏻♀️ MrEH got the faintest of faint lines this morning but that was just confirming what we already knew! We were banned from the pub and shop yesterday (not though we would have gone in anyway in the circumstances!) and loosely quarantined on the boat back too. Thankfully it only happened at the very end of the week anyway - at the start would have out a right damper on things - as it was we had a wonderful time! Some more photos then…various lighthouse views for a start…🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
