All sounding good EH, especially on the exercise front.  It was a lovely weekend up here as well.

L it feels so unusual to get good weather across such a wide area as it feels like there was last weekend! A very welcome change!  Sadly it's back to grey and drizzly here again today - I narrowly avoided getting rather damp cycling to the office this morning.

I've paid the council tax/water rates money across to M@rcus this morning, so that's done. No phone call from Agent Million yet though which is disappointing...he must be having an extra coffee before he gets to the stage of making his phone calls...  Also transferred £50 across to the energy buffer.

It really doesn't feel as though there's much to say MSE-wise at the moment. I did note this morning that we're going to need to be mindful of costs of the "night before" and "night after" accommodation for the Lundy trip next month, and the boat fares, leaving us a little short on spending money in the relevant account - we both have "fun" savings which will top it up though, and also because spending goes on tabs while we're there, it won't hit the CC until the May statement, so we'll have a little breathing space ahead of needing to actually pay it. The account it comes from gets topped up at a rate of £226 a month too so the April & May payments there might even make the difference. the spending across there IS high though - there tends to be a lot of time spent in the pub, and a lot of meals eaten there too inevitably, although we'll probably try to balance that with cooking in the accommodation at least a bit more, this time.

Cycled the short route this morning, and will do something broadly similar this evening as I'm heading to the gym straight from work. I did do a just-over 5 mile loop last night though. Hoping for it to be dry enough for a brisk mile walk at lunchtime, and tonight's gym visit will be strength work. Also planning to find time to fit in some yoga this evening too but will see how that pans out.

    Surveys:
    Prolific: £1.92 paid/£5.27 pending
    OnePoll: 847 Points
    Ipsos: 922 Points

Not planning on doing an actual NSD target this month but would like to focus on noting them again - today should be one, all being well.

Thanks for the reminder EH. I need to put my money into savings accounts too.

Inflation is scary. My gas is going up 70%. Really hope that means electric is going up less.

We have lovely blue skies here today. The sun will be heating our house up nicely for us right now.

Fingers crossed for a sunny stay on Lundy Milann - although it's a fab place almost regardless of weather. We're staying in the upper floor of a former lighthouse keeper's house - I fully intend that my first brew of the day each morning will be taken (in insulated mug) to the deckchairs which handily sit at the top of the (now disused) lighthouse!

SH - you'll see a huge increase in electricity Standing Charge but the increase in unit rate is a lot less proportionately  than the gas unit rate increase.  it all works out a bit differently for us because of us having an E7 (dual rate) meter. we still get walloped with the increased SC but our average unit rate is increasing a lot more because of the huge hike in our night rate.

RS - I can say for definite there will be NO solar heating occurring at my house today!

A lovely proper frosty start to the day here. Our next planned trip is May. Apart from a sneaky trip up north to check out the new plumbing

I've always fancied staying at a lighthouse. I have a bit of an obsession with them... They tend to be built in quite exposed areas though so while they are great for photos if there is any wind it can be bitter.

Ooh, I love a lighthouse too 😍 never stayed in one though, and I've only ever been in one once, just a little museum now. Mr Cheery almost bought one once, a long time before I knew him 🙄 Not a glamorous one, a tiny one kind of on an industrial estate 😂😂
