Hi EH - just caught up with your diary from the beginning of January! Entertaining and informative as usual with gorgeous photos! Your metro trip looked so interesting. I'm going to mention it to my DD as I think it's something she could buy for her OH's birthday or Christmas as it sounds just up his street!Re the polls, I would echo using Opinium. I've been using it for a few years now and regularly cash out on £25. I thought I might get screened more once I retired but nothing seems to have changed much.
P.S. My DD and OH have e bikes at their Highlands abode and love them. They often go for miles up those hilly roads! Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

There has been talk of e bikes in our house……don’t think it’ll get much more than talk though. Tbh it would have to be a bike for Dh and a trike 😳😂. How generous of your friend though 👏👏👏

We love our e bikes and as there are a lot of hills in Cornwall they are much needed. Your friend is generous to give you one for free.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. I love my electric bike so much but I might apply your gym logic to it. Ie, work out cost per mile to own. At the minute I think it might be a tenner!Debt Jan 2017 = £42kMay 2022 = £15k2

L I know you remember lovely Mrs Stripes (Pippi) from here - she has an bike and loves it! Thanks for popping in SSG - not sure I envy you catching up from January though - I do waffle! 😆 Good to have another vote for Opinium! SH we were chuffed when we realised we could get a group booking! Ahh Milann, ES, Paws, Flo and Mrs P the bike I’m going to be given (if I get on ok when I try it out!) is just a normal push-bike rather than and-bike. My current one (which will be staying with us!) is a folding one though so very limited gears and small wheels - plus no suspension at all, which makes it a lot harder work/less comfortable for anything other than a short distance. Hopefully the new one will be a lot easier to ride and will mean I can start using it for longer distances!Nice but moderately hectic day here today. We went for a walk first thing - just down to the Town Park which was looking gorgeous in the sunshine! Porridge for breakfast once we got back - fairly standard for a Friday! Then I went to the gym - down to £55 a visit now! 😂 After lunch I hopped back in the car and headed to Duxford as I’d planned - just a relatively short visit but the Spitfire exhibition was fascinating, and I had a wander round a couple of the hangars and into the Battle of Britain Ops Room as well, plus a wander round the back of the grounds which I love - it feels completely unchanged from the way it would have been in wartime round there with all the old buildings. We’re having fish & chips for tea - MrEH is going to get it shortly. Then I’m just settling in on the sofa for the evening. Tomorrow I’m planning a proper lazy day - my legs are really protesting at the amount of activity they’ve had this past week so I’ll do a bit of yoga to hopefully stretch them out and other than that planning a proper rest day. We will probably go and get the shopping at some point in the morning - I need to do a meal plan and a list. I was about to say “then MrEH has a rugby match in the afternoon” but just found out that’s cancelled! That might shed a different light on what we do although I think his lot will still be training…I might go down to the club in the afternoon, we’ll see.Taxed my car this morning as got through the reminder letter so decided just to do it rather than procrastinate - no real pain as it’s £0 cost though! Excellent day, and excellent gym cost per visit too! 😂 I too have a big bike and a little folding bike (although my big bike does fold in half as well). Sadly my little one is broken at the minute, and since the old car died, the bigger one is a bit of a pain to get in. Must sort all that out before the nicer weather. I didn't do much cycling last year and I missed it!4
