Good news on having the car sorted. I do like having pots and enjoy shuffling it all around. Not so keen on actually using the pots, even though that's what they're their for!

Haha I HATE having to dip into a pot! This is why the "Gym Neutral Fund" now exists - the money was there and set aside but I didn't enjoy having to take it out - so the aim of the fund is to ensure that next year the cost is there ready and waiting, and hopefully I might even manage to offset some of this years, too! I do love a bit of making things cash neutral!
So cautious optimism on two points here today - the interest rate rise - apologies as before, I know it won't make a lot of you happy but clearly for us it IS good news. Also by all accounts it seems as though being all electric the price cap increase *may* not hit as as significantly as some - again, I do really feel for those of you for whom this is not the case though. It's going to be incredibly tough times for so many folk out there - it really is an awful situation.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Yes, there’s certainly going to be some tough times for some.I’m loving the gym neutral scheme. I’ve actually booked a swim on Monday…..wish I’d have counted my sessions from the start of my membership. I did note I had to use it twice a week to make it pay…..I haven’t been since omicron came onto the scene. But it’s as safe as it’s going to get now so I need to start going back 😏January spends - £587.582

I was determined to keep a track - it remains to be seen if I do mind you once the novelty wears off! 😂😂 Another session done this morning anyway so signature will be adjusted shortly! Yes, I changed my plans as the weather this morning was entirely filthy - it was spitting with rain when we went out first thing, which rapidly turned to a complete downpour - we both had to change trousers when we got back because we were soaked! Unsurprisingly a ride on the bike felt less tempting after that, so gym it was! Also got my yoga done this afternoon and plan to get out for a bike ride tomorrow at some stage.MrEH’s C0v reg saver is now funded and he’s going to get the regular payment set up shortly I believe. I also got a couple more of the old style N@tionw1de savers closed off yesterday - one joint one which had already had the contents transferred over to Sant-And-Er and a solo one which has now been moved to a higher interest one. Final job for yesterday was to amalgamate my “camera and phone” savings into my loyalty saver as for various reasons it suits me better to keep the two pots together now - the loyalty saver acts as my personal “emergency fund” I do still need to close the old one there though - it can’t be done on the app.
Aside from the yoga and the gym I’ve not achieved much today. Washing from the machine to the airer, having cleared the previous lot off. A bit of random tidying of odds and ends, and the veg prepped for coleslaw - 1 onion, 1 beetroot and the remaining half a cabbage. Might grab a couple of carrots when we shop tomorrow to add in too but we’ll see if I remember. Now trying to decide on what to have for tea tonight - I fancy houmous so might make that next, but need to think what else to have - apart from the coleslaw obviously! Potato wedges maybe?🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

LATTL we did wedges in the end! Also did some halloumi and it was indeed a feast!
A nice and reasonably laid back weekend was had here - hope all of yours were much the same! A satisfyingly low-cost shopping trip to Sainsbugs on Saturday, although we were a bit miffed to find out that their "Nectar prices" involve being sent a voucher to the app for the difference in cost rather than - as T's do with CC prices, simply charging you the reduced amount at the till! I certainly won't be going out of my way to head to sainsbugs for anything on that basis again, and indeed we simply re-did the shop this time with those items were removed and some other bits picked up for the £30 spend threshold we needed. By the time I'd done stacking various vouchers, and using £10 of nectar points, we had the grand total of £5.52 to pay which I was delighted with! MrEH had rugby in the afternoon so headed out to the club late morning, and I took the bike out for a ride firstly across to Mum & Dad's and then home via a loop round the top end of the town passing by our two largest areas of Common Land which looked glorious in the sunshine! Topped out at just over 7 miles which is a decent distance for me and gives me something to build on. Then a nice lazy afternoon before heading along to the rugby club to meet up with the boys and watch the second half of the England match. (shhh Scottish people, we're not talking about it, we're just feeling very glad we're not Welsh...!) Yesterday was just pottering about in the morning - made soup, MrEH refilled the bird feeders, bit of tidying up - then we headed out for a decent walk from home in the afternoon which ended up including a reverse of a fair bit of the route I'd done on the bike the day before! Just under 7 miles this time. Also made time over the weekend for a couple of yoga sessions.
This week we need to start knuckling down to some work towards the beer festival stuff I think - we've actually got a meeting (via Teams) this evening which will hopefully not be too lengthy, but will probably leave the laptop set up ready to do some of the stuff we've got noted for this month on Wednesday evening I think. Other than that I plan to get to the gym a couple of times as usual (got to drive that cost per visit down - LOL!) keep up doing my yoga, and hopefully increase my weekday cycling distances a bit now that the evenings are lighter.
Banking is looking OK, hopefully the final bit of paperwork will arrive in the next few days to let MrEH sort out the extraction of money from the C0ventry, and I need to get £180 transferred from the joint account to the PB's to account for the water rates and council tax. Surplus this month will be a bit smaller because we've used some of it already to feed a couple of regular saver payments - that's fine though, it'll all even itself out.
Food is also sorted for the week although it has had a bit of a re-jig already thanks to having the meeting this evening - so pork stir fry and noodles tonight, the rest of yesterday's soup tomorrow, baked gnocchi and veg another day....can't remember what else offhand but it's all written down at home anyway.
Ticking along, I'd say!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
