BA starting flights from Gatwick to Fort Lauderdale July 17

... http://mediacentre.britishairways.com/pressrelease/details/86/2016-72/7907

It's a 9.25am departure, good for those who like to get up and go.

They've only just gone on sale, so there could be good starting prices and/or Avios availability.

Always double check other airlines before booking.

I can't imagine Norwegian being best pleased at this announcement.

I wonder if there is enough traffic on this route to support two carriers. I fear not.

Well at Gatwick BA is doing JFK and FLL to compete with Norwegian and Cape Town to compete with Thomas Cook.

There could be some great off peak sale fares on these routes.

Also good for redeeming Avios business class one way and using Norweigan economy the other way.

My AMEX card is currently offering £100 rebate against a £500 BA spend.

17th July - my birthday! If I lived 200 miles nearer to Gatwick, could get up by that time in the morning, wanted to go to Fort Lauderdale & was willing to do business with BA that would be great present.
Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.
