BT Broadband Fibre Deal - I've been stitched up

Ok, so I placed an order for BT fibre on the 19th of October at the promotional rate. All is hunky dory.
Yesterday I realised that I had received the initial, "Order received" email, but had not received the order confirmation email. The initial email told me to phone BT within five days if I hadn't received it.
So, yesterday I phoned BT to find out what was happening with the order. I was told that there was an error with the order (didn't specify what), and the order would have to be cancelled and redone. However, it would take 24hours for the cancellation to go through.
All fine I thought, until this morning when I'm on the BT website, The prices seem quite a bit higher than when I placed the order, then I realised that the promotional period had ended.
So now I'm royally peed off. I feel that I've been stitched up by BT. Surely their customer advisors would realise yesterday was the last day at the promo price, and cancelling my order would, in effect, leave me unable to get fibre at that price.
Has this or anything similar happened to anyone else? I'm not a pick the phone up and rant sort of person, but feel that this is what I might have to do.
Oh, and on top of this I'll lose the cash back I got through top cash back, leaving me another £105 out of pocket

Wouldn't worry about top cashback, they never pay out...0

You're not £105 out of pocket, as you never had that money to be out of pocket with.0

Just cancel and re-order online - don't accept the manual offer. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

BT's website now shows the prices including line rental which they have to do as part of an ASA ruling. The issue is that the prices are also a lot higher than last week.
I use quidco and last week I ordered unlimited infinity 2 at £29.98 with £50 activation and £8 router delivery charge. We got £80 cashback and £100 prepaid mastercard. This price includes line rental.
The current quidco deal is for unlimited infinity 2 at £29.99 with £50 activation charge and £9.95 router delivery charge. The cashback on offer is £100 with a £150 prepaid credit card from BT. This price also includes line rental.
Now if you were to go to BT direct the above package is £39.99 with the same setup costs whereas last week the price for going direct to BT was the same price as what quidco offered, obviously without the cashback.
I am starting to think that the ASA changes have given providers the green light to push up prices for direct business and we will see more and more comparison site only deals cropping up which will only further confuse people.0 -

Still has the promotional rates that are lower than going direct to BT site0
