Where is the best place to post about a company policy PHI claim?

Just an update. Spoke to union - they told me that they have seen these offers happen before and it is not unusual for it to happen before the insurance company has made their final decision. He has seen the same situation happen a few times even just with my company.
I also queried the issue with my hours, thought I might as well. The union reckon I could fight for the original hours' worth of notice pay (based on the evidence I have), but of course, it would mean having to reject this agreement, with the potential possibility of them removing the 'extra' termination payment. Meaning I would be slightly worse off.
I did, however, advise my TL I have all the emails confirming it was temporary and that I would be taking advice as it seems totally unfair that they were adamant it was only a temporary change in the first place, and yet they never let me go back to my normal hours when I requested it. I am hoping (although not expecting) that they may just come back and offer me the extra anyway!:D0 -

Well let's wait and see what happens then. If you have made up your mind then at least you know where you stand.
Yes, I think I have. It doesn't seem like I have much of a choice, in that this is the only scenario I have a guaranteed outcome. And I am fed up of fighting and waiting.
I do hope that as they know they know I am the kind of person to cause them work and 'hassle' (by standing up for myself), they may just offer to pay it anyway. As I say though, I don't 'expect' it.0 -
Just an update...to say there is no update..:rotfl:
I spoke to my manager last week, as I mentioned. She said she would call on Mon to let me know..still not heard a sausage! This is typical of my company!0 -

I know it is traditional for them to get you a leaving present, but perhaps you should get them a dictionary, with the word deadline highlighted?
Haha! This is such a good idea.
I'm not too bothered with the wait this time as I know (well, I blooming hope) it won't be too long, but it does seem like an utter farce! Something about 'pea soup' in a brewery, springs to mind!0 -
Just an update..this time to say there is an update!!
Result! Got my higher rate notice pay, extra £2000, correct holiday pay, AND because they had to change my t&c's, backdated company sick pay of nearly £1000, which I wasn't expecting!
Thanks again for your help.0 -
Excellent. Glad you are happy. Good luck moving forward in life now.0
