    DO you stand on a stepladder to take your pics of your dinner? ...

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
    I now have a vision of GP, babe in one arm, camera on the other heroically up a step ladder taking pics of her saturday curry, just to prove to us that she's a hip young thing up to f00d netw0rk standards!
    ;););)
    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

  • Ha ha. Thank you greenbee, thank you EH. I think there is a strong possibility that I CBA'ed to be a social climber :D I'm not sure that I have the correct phonage to !nstagram, and as for going to all the trouble to get the step-ladder out of the cupboard to photograph us tea...................... :D

    I walked up the high street by myself earlier. DH was on 'Daddy Duty'. Pity I wasn't doing anything more interesting than a bit of shopping - a haircut would have been nice, but the hairdresser already had 2 clients in - more when I went past a second time :(

    A load of outgrown stuff and donated to us but we'll never use it type things wended their way into the chazza. I was beginning to get itchy feet about my lack of a food bank donation last week, but we've made two donations now to the shops operated to support our local children's hospice, so these things probably balance out........if St Pete is taking notes.......... :rotfl:

    Anyone else noticed food prices starting to creep up? h0m3 bargins and h3ron have both put up the price of UHT milk, and I see that they are both going over to stocking 'dairy pr1de' brand - which purports to be British milk, but hasn't screwtop lids like the m00 brand. You just snip the carton. No good if you're on your own and don't whizz through milk, I would have thought. S/S UHT is now 59p. It was 55p before Christmas, and 49p for a period before that.

    MrT sultanas (EDV) are now 89p after being 84p for aaaggggeeeesss. I didn't buy any, but I see that the EDV pineapple is now 60p a tin. Last time I bought some (which is some time ago) it was 35p.

    Our MrT is having a 'revamp' and moving stuff around. i hope they are mid-way through it, as their 'groupings' no longer make any sense. If they want to give me a reason to shop there even less........
    They have also gone back to wire shopping baskets, rather than the blue plastic - anyone know the reason why?

    I did buy some of the mixed peppers in mrL. I know that EH said that the price/quantity is on a par with mrT, but I only needed a couple, I still have my bargainacious ones from mrW the other day.

    Baby Greying has fallen asleep on my arm. They have been most 'boingy' today.

    We have delivered a thank you card to the little old lady across the way for her cash gift to Baby Greying. A little bit later that I would have liked, I would have preferred that she knew that her kind gift had been deposited soonest. Ah well. It's been a busy week. The card didn't cost anything, it was a charity freebie that the non-gardening parental passed on to me. No need for a stamp, as we delivered by hand.

    DH is moving stuff back into place after it was bundled up out of the way to make room for the workmen. I'm hopeful that we can eat our curry in front of a fire and watch something off tape on TV tonight, for a change. It was a change for me to watch a bit of TV last night actually. But the TV can't stay were it was put temporarily, takes up too much space and interfers with eating!!! :(:rotfl:

    Right, BG is stirring, so I'd best go and start tea. Look up which recipe to follow will be a good start! :D

  • Good morning :hello:

    Well things went t1*s up last night. We'll draw a veil over it, Suffice to say that I was in bed by 8pm.

    Tea was kodava curry with boiled rice. I didn't take a pic as the camera playing up on top of everything else would have seen something launched.

    Today is going to be busy :( there are plenty of things that i would rather be doing than what I've got to do today. Ah well, 'tis what being an adult is about, I guess.

    Upsidedown Bear I love that pic & sentiment! Love Minions :D

    muddywhitechicken - lovely to *see* you safely home :D Hope 2017 is a brilliant year for you & Mrmwc:D

    I missed out on my gratefuls because I was so grumpy last night. Just because I was, doesn't mean to say that I wasn't - if you follow my logic...... ;)

    Yesterday, I was grateful for these 3 things;

    kind and generous people - I'm blessed to know some real corkers, on MSE and in RL, so thank you for all that your gifts, support, guidance, offers of help & actual help.

    time to myself
    - ok, so i had to fill it with chores, not bubble baths & chocolate, but still :D

    a timely text - a reminder that people ponder things as deeply as I do. I am not alone in taking on 'the machine'.

    Thanks for reading.

    I've a nappy to attend to quick smart, and jobs to do thereafter.

    TTFN,

    Aw, have a hug Greying (((((((())))))) sometimes things just get on top of us. Hope your activities go in a straightforward fashion today and that you get a bit of time for a bit of chocolate and a bubble bath (even if it's only a metaphorical one) xx

    I often post pictures of tea and cake to my blog - and I don't care what anyone thinks :D although not sure I'm much good at social climbing either as I'm usually in the farm cafe or women's institute cafe and most definitely don't use a stepladder! :rotfl:

    (Although I should note that incidentally I *was* atop a stepladder yesterday while painting the kitchen and it was SO WARM up there! :eek: thinking of putting a chair on stilts for when I'm really chilly :D ) :rotfl: :rotfl:
