    I just checked my plama 42" 30kg tv on a 4kg stand(swivel)

stand is 327mm front to back yours is 376mm which is better

The other thing I forgot to mention is this table top smooth and very flat, does the tv on its stand have the feet of the stand all touching the top of the table no wobble?

Same with the table to the floor no wobble of the table.

if there is any then sort that first, packing, bluetack...
  • Even if the TV is completely stable with no wobble, if you have children then them being able to pull up on it and topple it is a genuine concern so it would still be advisable to secure with straps - they normally screw into the back of the TV in the VESA mounting holes and then can be fixed to the wall behind, or the floor, or the unit (although you want to avoid this option).

I'll second this, was literally the only thing we could do to stop our wee man pulling the tv over or moving it along the unit!
