Hi
I booked a flight on the 25th of October with Travel Republic and they have contacted me on the 26th to say the price has increased the payment has all ready gone out of my account. They Phoned me at 19.59 where i was not able to ricive the call and could not ring back as they close at 20.00? Can They do this after payment has gone out of my account and do i have any rights? I know its not a lot of money but still annoying:mad:
This is what they sent in a email.
We have been notified by your Outbound flight provider, Ryanair ., that they are unable to confirm your flight at the requested cost. This cost has been increased by your flight provider while you were submitting your booking details. The new cost of your Outbound flight is…
£ 182.97…; this is an additional cost of…£22.00

Why didn't you just book direct in the first place? Making a rod for your own back.0

It's not a confirmed price until you get a confirmation email. You just make an offer to buy. The money would have been ringfenced because they have to know the funds are available. It was all explained in the terms and conditions you read when you booked. If you want to be annoyed, be annoyed at yourself if you didn't read them. If you didn't want to pay the increase you could have cancelled and the money would have just dropped back into your account when your bank released it.

Just tell them you do not wish to proceed at the higher fare and then book direct with Ryanair (which would have been best done in the first place)0
