Insured phone repaired - last two weeks not they say water damage?

Broke for Galaxy S5. Totally my fault - sat on it in my pocket. Screen broke, case shaped like a banana.

£50 excess with my insurance. Phone came back. I should have checked it was the same phone- I dont think it was.

Two weeks later it packs up completely. So I sent it back to the repair company the insurer uses.

Now they're telling me the phone was water damaged (not by me!) and one of the water indicators has been removed (again not by me!)

Which leads me to strongly suspect this is not my original phone.
Insurers now says this is separate damage and want another £50 excess....

What can I do about it?
