Cruise Holiday - having to cancel due to ill health

@bogalot thanks for the advice0

Take a positive from a negative, I guess at least we did save some money by not going on the holiday, petrol to airport, accommodation before flying, car park fees, kennel costs, holiday insurance, visas, holiday spends, costs of excursions, etc etc, that's going to be a few thousand not spent0

Admin charge to change names on booking (need to find out costs)
Visas will need to be applied for for Sri Lanka and India which cost £150 per Peston but more if you get a dedicated visa company to do them for you
I can't see anywhere saying that the cruise is specifically for elderly people.

It looks like an interesting itinerary for people of any age.0 -
@jackieboy,
It's the same ship that we went in last year and they cater for the mature only. The youngest people on the ship were the Filipino staff.0 -
All of the pictures on the website are of, well, people of a mature nature, so it's kind of implied that it's for a certain age group.I can't see anywhere saying that the cruise is specifically for elderly people.

I hate to say it but I don't think this is going to be an easy unwanted holiday to pass on or sell.
There are the Indian visas to obtain.
Also, I suspect the name change fees on the flights to India and back from Singapore are likely to be very high or even impossible to make. As a packaged trip the tour operator is very likely to have booked airline tickets with restrictions which may not permit name changes.
The costs to amend may be prohibitive.
I would certainly check those out fully first before wasting time looking for prospective purchasers.0
