  • We have a hole in our bath too.

We think it is where the plug goes.

I'd go for something really flexible like silicon sealant - on both sides of the hole. Unless you know anyone who's into aero modelling or boating and can show you how to repair it using glass fibre matting and resin.

Whatever you decide on using to fix the problem, I would also buy a big shallow tray - like you get at garden centres etc. called "garden tray" or "Growbag tray" and place it under the bath, where you are sure it will catch any further drips.

You can keep any eye on it after each bath and mop it out - rather than risk damaging the ceiling below any more.

    Hi all

    Hope you're all good.

I had my whole bath room re tiled a few weeks ago & I love it. I usually take shower (attached to the wall & in the bath, not a separate cubicle) & rarely have a bath.

Last night I wasn't feeling grand so I thought I'd have a bath, long story short I had a nice bath came down stairs to make my gnocchi & low and behold there is a huge water patch on my kitchen ceiling. I ran back upstairs & I noticed a tiny hole on the curve of the bath (where the floor of the bath meets the sides) which is where the water was leaking out from. Obviously as the water isn't deep enough when I have a shower, it hasnt leaked before.

My question is, could I use something like this on the underside of the bath http://www.halfords.com/motoring/paints-body-repair/fillers-preparation/davids-fastglass-glass-fibre-kit-large & use this on the inside on the bath http://www.plumbworld.co.uk/cramer-scratch-and-chip-repair-1845-14382 ?

Obviously I need to try & dry the area out underneath the bath too, does anyone have advice on how to do this?

    TIA!!
Did someone drop a tile into the bath when the room was being tiled?

Well I fibre glassed the hole last night & had a shower last night & it seems to have held, I splashed the hole with some water & it didnt leak. Will be putting a larger patch over it tonight but happy days!!
