Naughty girls driving course.

            Hi all -
 I am a bit confused.
I was caught speeding. Doing 35 in a 30 zone. I am hoping to do the naughty girls driving course. However do I need to call my insurers and tell them I've done it or not? Obviously if it's offered to me.
I've found so much conflicting information on the internet I was hoping that someone had a link to a dot gov page that stated a definitive answer.
The fact you call it a 'naughty girls' course is abit concerning. It sounds like you wont take it seriously.0

Currently, there is no way for an insurance company to find out you have been on the course. So even if they ask, you can tell them no and they cannot find out. However, if that were to change (although the police and course providers do not want that to happen), you risk having your insurance voided and cancelled, making it very expensive in future to insure your car.
Personally, I take the view that if the insurance company ask me if I have been on the course, I will tell them I have. Otherwise, I will not disclose the information. Whether you take the same view is something you have to decide yourself.
Oh and you should get the offer of a course for 35 in a 30. I was stopped at 42 in a 30 and got the course.0

However, the offence is waived for attending the course, so assuming the OP is offered and attends said course, the offence is removed from records.
When you are offered and accept a speeding awareness course, the original offence is neither waiver nor is it removed from the records.
The penalty of 3 points and a £100 fine is waived but the offence still happened.
If you commit another speeding offence within 3 years you are generally no longer eligible for another course and the only way that they would know this is if the original offence was still recorded somewhere,
Attending a course doesn't mean that the speeding offence is ignored, it simply means that no further legal action will be taken.0

I have opinions, you have opinions. All of our opinions are valid whether they are based on fact or feeling. Respect other peoples opinions, stop forcing your opinions on other people and the world will be a happier place.0

I'm sorry I do take it seriously. Used to work with a police officer who referred to it as the naughty boys course. It's kind of caught from that.

You'd possibly get in more trouble for your driving with naughty girls distracting you.
