Yes - just put you new address on your facebook page and then sit back. Make sure you add your bank account details, National Insurance number, and (to be sure) your mother's maiden name too.0

Suppliers of what?
If you mean utilities, you're going to have to contact them anyway with closing and opening meter readings. You can probably do this online and make sure you use something like the MSE Cheap Energy Club to get a good deal and a cashback bonus for switching, so consider this an opportunity.
Banks are quite rightly not going to accept instructions from anyone who can't prove they are you, otherwise anyone could pretend to change your address to divert your post and get hold of new bank cards.
That said I believe there is at least one service that does this kind of thing because our letting agent would have referred us to them if we wanted (presumably for a kick-back) but as I understand it you still have to print off letters to sign and send them to banks so not really worth it in my opinion.0 -
Nobody knows how many 'suppliers' you have personally, nor who they are, so - yes, you have to take control of this yourself.
The agencies that promise to do this for you will only do this for the 'suppliers' they are affiliated with, which will only cover a small fraction of what you need.
Here's a list of who you need to tell that you're moving -

If you set up redirection on your post with Royal MAil then you buy yourself a bit more time to get around to notifying eveyone and also reduce the risk of any slipping though the net.
As gingercordial says, forhousehold ulitities etc you need to inform them in any case to close your current account and open a new one. With bansk and so on it's importnat that youir details are up to date but reidirecting the post for (say) 6 months gives you more time and reduces the risk of missing any.
Also, if you get yor post redirected but leave a forawrding address with the new occupants of the current house, they are more likely to feel willing to forward on to you anything which does slip through, whereas if you don't and they are swamped with stff thye are more likely to just bin or return it all.All posts are my personal opinion, not formal advice Always get proper, professional advice (particularly about anything legal!)0 -
If you use RM redirection they used to also advise some businesses of your change of address, although I can't see any mention of that on their website so perhaps they have stopped. The problem I had with it was not being sure who they would tell, so I told everyone anyway (and even using a list like googler's I discovered a couple that I had missed almost a year after moving).0

Great list, ta googler. Will save it.
You might want to add:
Pet insurance
Website provider
(Couldn't see them, but ignore me if there already.)
I also have power of attorney for my mum with my sister - presume her solicitor will have my address for that too which will need updating.
