My IP Banned

Hi My IP at work has been banned for no reason that I can see.
I have messaged the support team 3 times about this over a week ago and had no reply.
It is very annoying as I now find myself actually working instead of spending all day on MSE !!
If a support person reads this, can they please assist ?!
The problem started when I attempted to copy and paste some text in list format from a website, it said unknown error, I tried again 3 times and after that my IP was banned !!
Grrrr
