Hello
Please can you help! I am looking to apply for a 0% purchase credit card to help finance a new kitchen (approx £7k) I'm looking at the Halifax card as its one of the good ones plus i have my mortgage with them. Whilst looking at the details it says 0% on balance transfers also. I currently have a Barclaycard with approx £6k on it and thought i could incorporate that. BUT would that effect the amount they would lend me? Or should i not mention the other card and just do it for the 0% purchase alone?
Thanks

You shouldn't choose a card just because you have a mortgage with the provider.
Have a look here for the best deal:

Is the £7k to fund building work etc? If so, you will need a money transfer card and NOT a purchases card.

If the £7k is just for purchasing materials etc from a shop, then yes just apply for a 0% purchases card. It's worth noting that you may not receive as high a limit as you may want in which case you would need to perhaps apply for 2 cards with different providers.
I would keep the balance transfer separate otherwise you run the risk of paying interest on the entire balance when the purchases part runs out. So apply for a separate balance transfer card for the Barclaycard debt.
