What sort of decals make a difference to insurance costs
"Go faster stripes" or something similar which if not there as standard would class as a modification and could attract a higher premium.
Anything which makes a vehicle stand out from the "off the shelf" model could make it more attractive to thieves hence a higher risk to the insurers which is why some insurers class these as a mod.0 -

That's a good point - I wasn't thinking of stripes and such - I was imagining advertising graphics.0 -

Why did you jump to that conclusion, the OP hasn't mentioned the type of decals?
Seems to be a trend on this board of immediately putting the frighteners / giving the worst case scenario to nearly every query raised.0 -
Has the insurer asked what type of stickers? Why did you jump to that conclusion, the OP hasn't mentioned the type of decals?

No? Then it's just the fact that there are stickers which they're basing their calculation of risk on. And that's what the discussion is based on, too.0 -

Jump to conclusion?
Read post #9 again:
Decals or sign-writing perhaps as advertising would show a possibility of business use.
I made no conclusions - I was only suggesting possibilities.0 -
What sort of decals make a difference to insurance costs
Any/all of them. If an insurer has to repair a panel, no doubt the policyholder would want the decal replaced too. Additional cost.
Can also lead to arguments - imagine a starsky and hutch style stripe and only one section needs replaced and isn't available. Has the insurer to replace the whole side of decals?0
