Thanks, but unholyagel has already provided a much more helpful answer in post #24. :p

Good job times have moved on and that Wikipedia is the more modern thing people use when it comes to knowledge and guidance!

Yeah but they didn't and had already been pointed out it should have been obvious to the op that the soup contained pork by the colour.

Basically you're playing a devil's advocate who just hasn't thought the counter argument through!
Food miss-labelling is food miss-labelling. That's the devil's argument. You can't expect everyone to know what every food looks like. The responsibility to sell/dispense the food that is correct is levelled at the canteen.

From a religious perspective, I seem to remember that if you eat haram food by accident then you're not going to get struck down.

(To help the argument roll on, I'm a non-religious, bacon-loving Jew)

    Ebrahimd is obviously colourblind.
Given that this seems to be his one and only post seemingly designed to stir up controversy I would think of another word for him ;)

Luckily we're still a Christian country.

Luckily. Unluckily you mean. Still as the world turns more and more people stop believing in magic men in the sky.

Proper christians shouldn't eat pork, duck or shellfish, they also shouldn't consume alcohol. So I wouldn't consider the UK a christian country at all, it does very few christian things.

Strange then that Jesus himself turned water into wine and had wine at the Last Supper.

    Very naughty of him.

Jesus who wasn't actually a christian. You clearly weren't lucky enough to attend a faith school...
