He is an observant Muslim but just shrugged his shoulders and after swapping it for some chips said that Allah has more important things to worry about than what he puts in his mouth. He is an inspiration every day!
Likewise I have a few muslim friends who have also eaten pork by accident. The only thing they were bothered about was that they couldn't eat it anymore (they weren't aware the gelatin in it was pork gelatin, not beef) now that they knew, as (they all say) unintentionally eating it isnt a sin, only intentionally doing so.Really? I didn't know that. Where is it writ down?
Leviticus - although I dont believe it includes duck. It states of animals living on the land we're only supposed to eat those who have cloven hoofs AND chew cud (so shouldnt eat pig or rabbit or camel). For things in the sea, we are only supposed to eat those with fins & scales.
Birds it basically says we're not to eat any birds of prey, heron or storks.
It doesn't mention ducks, they used to think it said swan and some would argue ducks were included due to being part of the same family as swans but apparently "swan" was an incorrect translation and the actual translation was white owl - which would make sense given it was listed among other birds of prey like the hawk & osprey. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
So it took a whole bowl of ham soup and you didn't know there was something funny with it, pull the other one.
Another troll bringing up a touchy subject, don't feed the troll, especially if it's got ham in it.0 -

St Cuthbert lived in the 7th century and he didn't believe people should eat the eider ducks or seabirds that live on the Farne Islands. He set laws forbidding people to eat the birds. The birds still remain protected on the islands and the ducks are known locally as Cuddy ducks after him. Here I go again on my own....0 -

We're referring to christianity prohibiting the consumption of duck, not historic figures who made conservation efforts for the local duck populace. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
I was told that accidental consumption is forgiven:
"Islam is a very forgiving religion. One of the main issues that addresses your question is the principle that you are only a sinner if you sin intentionally and knowingly.
That is, you sin if:
You do something sinful (like eating pork)
With full knowledge that it is a sinful act, and
Still intentionally do it
There are caveats. For example, if you are dying of starvation in the wilderness, and you find some pork meat, you would be allowed to consume enough of it to keep yourself alive, even though pork is prohibited otherwise."0 -

Ebrahimd, assuming this is not a wind up you need to think seriously about this and your relationship with God. First after your prayers ask God to forgive you, He is a gracious God and Forgives with grace.
Next you need to extent this forgiveness to the person who made a genuine mistake by wrongly labelling the soup and be at peace with yourself and fellow humans.0 -

I doubt he will be back, somehow.0 -
Ebrahimd is obviously colourblind.0
