Wright Hassall letter of claim

Hi I need help
i have just received a letter from Wright Hassall stating that it is a formal letter of claim, and i have to pay 193 pounds in 14 days for a pcn i was issued back in June 2016 from Premier Park LTD or they may get a CCJ. I have had letters from the company itself and from ZZPS but I ignored them, is this letter a real letter before claim or is it another intimidation tactic? they did not state in the letter who their client was and the phone number on the letter does not match any numbers on the Wright Hassall website. Will getting a CCJ affect my credit rating?

The PCN in question was I parked in a private car park at 7pm for around 45 minutes and I didn't pay for a ticket as I had just assumed that charges didn't apply after 6pm and the signage wasn't exactly very clear also the car park was completely empty so I think the charge is unfair
what should I do? should I respond to the letter or should I just suck it up and pay the fine?

You cant get a CCJ without losing a court case. Did they mention any court or case number

no they didn't they just said if I fail to pay the debt they will review the matter and may seek to issue County Court proceedings to get a Judgement Order

And NO judgement until a real judge in court says so.

Where does £193 come from, they need to give you a breakdown.

Wright Hassall at one time were a decent firm until they involved themselves in the scamming parking industry. Since then, the very name "Wright Hassall" stinks of scam.

This is a 100 year old firm delving into the sewers ? Very very sad

There you go, anyone searching for a solicitor in the Warwick area will quickly see that Wright Hassall comes up on google as bad boys.

Also known as WHOPLA because they are a pretend independent adjudicator in the parking scam business using the invisible man

I guess most people would not deal with Wright Hassall in their normal core business .... who could blame them

It isn't a fine.

You have nothing to pay.

A CCJ will affect your credit rating, but you can't get a CCJ unless you lose in court, and then don't pay. That hasn't happened yet.

You need to refute this. There are plenty of other threads about Wright Hassle and their Letters Of Claim (not a letter Before claim) floating around so you need to search this forum to find out how to rebut their claims.

It's a shame you didn't appeal this to the parking company when you first got the parking ticket. That has been bad advice since the law changed in 2012.
Never mind, you can win this, but you need to do your research and counter this threat.

DO NOT PAY

You are not understanding, they cannot issue a judgement

If, and only if they do this, they will issue court papers which you can easily defend with help from here.

Wright Hassall are not the smartest in the book they have proven that time and time again.
