PCN NTK help required please

Hi

Firstly apologies as I am sure you guys get fed up with these types of posts but I hope someone can help, I have read the Newbie post several times and done a lot of reading online for literally hours and I’m still confused as to my next actions.

I got a PCN to registered keeper letter (there was no windscreen ticket) from Globe Protection Limited T/A IG Security (who appear to be a member of IPC) and states to pay £60 via ipaymypcn website

I wanted to upload pic of letter and the sign but not allowed to..

I am confused because this letter does not appear to be directly from Globe Protection Limited T/A IG Security and therefore want to know if I should appeal or just ignore.

If appeal, do I appeal via ipaymypcn website (there is an appeal button after you login), send an email or send an appeal letter to Globe Protection Limited T/A IG Security registered offices? also do I use the IPC template from the newbies post if I am to appeal..?

Again sorry if this seems like ground hog day for some of you, I am keen to get tis sorted asap and appreciate any advice.

Many thanks

  • Easiest way to share the photos with us is to put them on a photo sharing site like photobucket and then post a link here. If you are a new poster you'll have to change http:// to hxxp:// but then one of us can post the real link for you.

Blank out any details that identify you or the vehicle, including barcodes and QR codes.

In the meantime, what was the reason for the PCN being issued? Overstaying? Underpayment? Something else?

When was the incident and what's the date on the letter?

Don't say anything in any of your posts here or in any comms with the PCN that identifies who was driving.

There's part of a reference no. showing on right hand side, underneath the issue date. Not sure whether this should be redacted or not.

No different than any other IPC firm, they all have small print signs like that.

Appealing to an IPC firm then ignoring the debt demands is covered in the NEWBIES thread which includes a template challenge for IPC firms (please don't copy & paste it here asking 'is it this one?' or some of us tend to be in danger of self-combustion when we see that...).

Thanks for posting the links DollyDee

Thanks Coupon-mad, happy to appeal via the IPC template however still would like to know if appealing via the link in the ipaymypcn website is ok or should I write directly to Globe Protection Limited T/A IG Security registered office?

It is OK to use that link. Keep a screenshot as proof.

I never recommend a letter unless the scumpany only allows appeals by letter.

  • Reading the very last paragraph of the letter, you've got to appeal through "ipaymypcn" website.

I have no experience of that (or any other parking) website but I have seen advice on here to take a screen shot before you submit & do not mistakenly reveal who was driving i.e. watch out for pre-ticked boxes etc.

EDIT : Cross posted with Coupon-Mad.

    Hi All

After i sent the IPC template letter via the ipaymypcn appeal link i received another letter, please see link - hxxps://postimg.org/image/lxhaqrdat can someone please edit as i am not allowed to post links...

im just a little concerned with the following line in the letter: "as there is no basis of an appeal within the contents of the letter"

At the foot of the letter is does show BPA logo so should i now appeal via the BPA template, however i also noticed on the foot of the letter the following: PCN admin and ipaymypcn are a trading name of ZZPS and i know the newbie posts states to ignore, but just not sure about the appeals bit stated aboveI

any advice would be much appreciated

Globe Security trading as I.G. Security are IPC AOS members (Accredited Operator Scheme).

They can also be corporate members of the BPA but not an BPA AOS member as well.

I'll let an expert answer your query.

Thanks for posting the link DollyDee

I've re-read the stuff about IAS and why not to appeal to them as well as the thread on ZZPS and am inclined to now ignore, but again its the fact that this letter is not classing my IPC template letter as an appeal and since it seems to have come from a BPA member (as per the BPA logo at the bottom) i'm just not sure if its OK to ignore or appeal via BPA template...

Hopefully coupon-mad is checking the posts today..

    Many thanks
