Nationwide 'My Offers' (Online Banking)

Options
I thought these were credit scored/based on your internal score???

Just got an offer pop up with the following:
Discover special offers and products, hand-picked for you.
Looking for a personal loan?

We may be able to offer you a loan rate of 4.6% APR Representative (fixed) on loans from £7,500 - £14,999 for 1 to 5 years.

Find out more

When I click through it gives me loads of text about best ever rates etc, then 'apply now', 'no thanks' or 'remind me later'.

There's no way I'd qualify for a loan due to credit history - so are these 'hand-picked' offers worthless and just based on salary??

I would expect a credit check on application.
  • Yep - I appreciate 'may' is the key word - but they are 'hand-picked' (!) offers, which I assumed were based on internal credit score/likely eligibility - similar to Barclays and their pre-approved loans etc.

If I'm getting this kind of rubbish (0% chance I'll be approved) then I guess everything that may appear in future needs to be taken with a massive pinch of salt!!!

Perhaps "hand picked" as the products you don't already have with them

My offers from nationwide are not account specific like Barclays, so you would press apply and will be taken to the normal application screen were you will get an idea from the soft search and then if you continue will be hard searched and the loan will be approved, referred or declined.

    Suspect you know which
