I had both blue open and turned the black and water started flowing. I ve closed the blue now and everything seems to be fine.

I wasn't here when they finished installing it as had to leave for work so didn't get the grand tour.

The black valves are the filling loop, the blue valves are the main isolation valves for the boiler they should be inline with the pipe, if you have turned the blue valves off you won't get any hot water out of your taps & your heating won't work
