Money Moral Dilemma: Is it cheeky to ask to 'rent' my neighbour's Wi-Fi?

    I would just say that my router does not have wifi - I don't think I would ever have use for wifi at home anyway as I prefer to plug in a cat 5 cable than mess about with wifi dongles etc

    So would you think it was cheeky for them to ask you if they could run a cat5 cable (at their cost) just until they get connected in a month?

  • 'Most'? T y hardly any that come as standard with the mainstream domestic connections. Only top brand do this.

    If a neighbour has BT you might find a BT wifi hotspot you can connect to and pay whatever the rate is.

    I'd imagine there would be quite a bit of upheaval as well as cost as it would involve drilling quite a lot of holes and would involve freeholder consents for running cables through communal areas
