Ex directory and still nuisance calls

Judging by the "size" of the local telephone directory, it seems to me that almost every ordinary customer is ex-directory now!0

I found them useless, after complaining about a certain company constantly calling and not allowed to under the rule that allows companies to contact previous customers.
They were not interested and said they would only be if I was willing to go to court, flatly refusing to warn the company off.0
