OMG!!! That didn't work but it made me look AGAIN very closely at my laptop. A "sneaky" volume wheel is on the front of my laptop. I turned it up and guess what.......... IT'S FIXED!!!!!! HOW EMBARRASSED AM I:o :o:o

Fancy putting one of those there!!! it said my volume was 100% when I checked it on screen.
I appears it must have been gradually rubbing against me causing it to turn down.

Yes it is a Toshiba Satellite. (Don't worry only I could be that stupid to do what I did!!:rotfl:

Thanks so much for all your advice and input, without you I would have had a trip to John Lewis and time without my laptop, so thanks:A :T

  • LOL....that would have been a cracker if you had taken it back to the shop!!!!
Also check the volume or mute isn't on - this can be done with the FN key and speaker icon or left click speaker icon in the systray, untick mute if applicable and slide the volume up

Does the wheel not affect the volume slider in Windows?

    Anyway...glad it's fixed :)
