Morning everyone.
Lazy start for me, I've been awake since about 6'ish surfing net and watching the sky change from dark to cloudy and now to weak blue with red and pink bits. The moon is still up there too.
Yesterday was stress free, I didn't go out all so a NSD. I'm still using up the cooked chicken thighs and there's enough for today too.
I'm taking a local woman down to a hospital in Glasgow. It's a quite late appointment (3.15pm) which is a pain as I'll be late home, but it's all for the greater good.
I had to phone HMRC yesterday about my NI contributions, long story but the happy bottom line is that my part-part time work has given me NI credits even though I haven't paid them.
Lainey - good decision.
Speky - your pudding sounds delicious.
Dumpling - rising above teenage contempt is the only response!
TA - please make time for yourself amongst all the domestic happenings.
Right, I suppose I have to make a move. Have to set recorder for GBBO in case we get delayed on the way home.
Happy Wednesday to everyone.0 -
Morning all
Dumpling is your hubby in a union if so at the meeting and he hasn't got a rep with him ask them to postpone the meeting until he has representation with him (I found out you can do this the hard way)
they sound very unreasonable
Lainey I am sure you are making the right decision re Bill
Those with teens just remember that they will have children one day
Dinner tonight pork casserole
Hugs and spoons to all who need them
Have a great day x0 -
SPEKY an update this morning said delivery would be between 1.30 & 5.30 so that narrowed it down slightly! Lol x"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0

Hi everyone,
Hope you are all feeling well and if not soon will be.Another of my spasmodic postings, you put me all to shamebut little of much interest happening really, apart from DS2s mortgage application was approved after months of trying and he should get the keys all being well on Friday :j.Not that he'll be moving out anytime soon,it needs a new bathroom and kitchen for starters,it is [STRIKE]fairly[/STRIKE] very grotty atm ,not unlike this house when we got it.So even tighter belts all round as we have lent him the deposit, and wouldn't you just know it,work for him and DH seems to be stalling now,it was the same last year
DGC here later,I've got a gammon joint in the sc.I've only just eaten today-we were at DHs Uncles funeral yesterday and I was' rather unwell ' last night, can't think it was the buffet afterwards, too quick, and the others are ok,but I have felt freezing the last couple of days so think it's a bit of a bug.Been taking it easy, sorting DS house stuff out on the lappie etc.
Need to hoover round-I've been sprinkling bicarb on the carpet, hopefully to get rid of doggy smells
Slowly hope the results are ok
Dumpling -likewise with DH meeting
Bye for now xxSave:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Afternoon, I did try to post this morning but it times out.(((((((((((hugs)))))))))).
Heating is finished, and very cosy it is too. the hot water comes through really fast and its hot!!
Since the engineers left I have cleaned the kitchen and mopped the floor. The young chap put the boxes to my sewing machines in the loft and also helped me to move the freezers back into their new positions. I have put the small one on the freeze down so I can put all the fruit we have in it.
OH asked for cheese and onion pie for his supper with baked beans so thats what he has got.
I plan to have a lie in tomorrow, getting up early has not been easy, I hope to get the sewing room fully operational and maybe get some sewing done.0 -
Just a quick pop in to say Speky, that does sound delicious and Deleted_User, great, you can get straight at last.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0
